Kicks and No Giggles

Hello Blogland, sorry for being such a major slacker on this...I'll work on being a better blogger! Happy Sunday! This is easily my favorite day of the week, because Monday and Tuesday are my days off and let me tell you, I seriously need some time away from my place of employment. I work at a hotel and March is our busiest month, if I was the peppy, happy-go-lucky, oozing positivity type, that my employers want me to be I'd probably be in higher spirits. Sadly for them, I'm rather the opposite of that; but next month marks my four years with the company so I must be doing something right...even if it may be keeping my co-workers entertained with my random angry rants. Or maybe it's  due to my seriously stellar people skills, thats probably it.
March in Arizona means spring training, and that means my hotel is packed with baseball fans all month long. Nothing like intoxicated thirty-something year olds running around hollering all day to make you really consider a career change. In the past this season has had the potential to be somewhat fun and exciting, especially after doing nothing for December, and anticipating the slow summer season. But this year has completely kicked my behind, I'm so very ready for it to be over! I mean I like baseball, and I get how exciting it can be to go to a game but why do all these people have to be soooo annoying!?
They travel in packs or four or five, the closer to forty they are the louder they can be. The later in the day it gets the funnier they think they are this probably has something to do with their constant alcohol intake. Every so often I have a moment when i fancy myself a total and complete comic genius, this is almost always followed by the realization that not everyone will agree with me.
These guys just don't get that last part, they think they're hilarious and they want everyone in Scottsdale to know just how brilliantly funny they are. Yeah, I get it. You are just soooo funny. My sides are splitting sir, really. Can't you tell? I'm tickled, absolutely tickled freaking pink. These high class comedians always manage to grace me with their presence in the last twenty minutes of my shift, just as I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. They come rolling in, full of beer and their hysterical one-liners. They really start to lay it on thick when they sense that that I might be less then amused. They all use the same tired jokes also, trying to charge food to rooms other then their own hahaha thats rich, sir, no one's ever thought of that before. Oh you need me to come up to your room and tuck you in? How original! I'll be right up, after I clean up the mess you and your idiot friends made as you entered the building. Maybe this is me being overly negative, but nothing and i mean NOTHING is funny at 10:26pm when my shift is scheduled to be over at 10:30pm. So feel free to save you brilliant comedic routines for tomorrow, i'll be back and waiting just for you and your entourage, in fact seems I'm lucky enough to have tickets to your show all week long!
Keep trying guys, maybe one day you'll get more then an courtesy chuckle, but probably not. I suppose I should work on being less cranky and more upbeat, I'll start tomorrow. Until then I shall finish this shift, and smile through the bad jokes. It's only two months until summer! Until next time bloggers,
Much love xoxo -Kelly-
